£500 - £550 Contingency : Must be able to start within 1-2 weeks Sanderson G&D are seeking an Applications Assurance Consultant operate with a technical consultancy supplying into the Public Sector. This is a great chance to join an exciting team and project area. Role: The role revolves around providingapplication-level security assurance by combining business analysis, technology understanding, and security controls knowledge. The role ensures that applications, websites, and services are designed, accessed, and operated in line with security policy while remaining usable and proportionate Key responsibilities Assess applications and digital services for security risk and control effectiveness. Evaluate access control, identity, and logging approaches against best practice. Review security testing approaches and assurance evidence. Support and guide teams through security approval and exception processes. Translate security policy into clear, usable processes and guidance. Maintain clear records of assurance decisions, risks, and required actions. Identify recurring assurance issues and recommend systemic improvements. Key skills and experience Strong business analysis and process-design capability. Broad understanding of application security, access management, and assurance. Ability to balance policy compliance with delivery pragmatism. Confidence working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
