Primary Location: Head Office in Leatherhead, KT22 7BA, UK \n We are looking for engineers who can service the Peterborough & South West area.\nSalary: Up to £21 an hour + Overtime + Door2Door \nOTE: £75k \nJob overview\n Sunswap is currently seeking a Mobile Refrigeration Engineer! Your key focus will be driving customer satisfaction by delivering high quality diagnostics and timely repairs of customer units on first visit in order to maximise their uptime. \n You will carry out maintenance repairs and investigations of our product, alongside being responsible for on-site call outs to issues at roadside, customer depot or Vehicle Maintenance unit (VMU).
When not on field duties, you will be responsible for assisting the Aftermarket engineer in carrying out maintenance procedure verifications and serviceability test requests as well as supporting production, build and uplift where necessary. Furthermore, you will be supporting the wider engineering team with technical builds and investigations within an R&D environment allowing for continued growth of the successful applicant. \nKey responsibilities\n* Take the lead in resolving maintenance repairs and troubleshooting mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical issues.
Support the Aftermarket Engineer by assisting with serviceability test requests and investigations, ensuring high-quality performance and reliability \n* Collaborate with the Aftermarket Engineer by providing valuable insights from the field and suggesting innovative ways to enhance product repairability, contributing directly to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. \n* Work closely with diverse engineering teams to support a wide range of mechanical and electrical tasks, collaborating with skilled engineers to drive success across multiple projects \n* Maintained van with a readiness for tools \n* Support unplanned maintenance of the Sunswap demo fleet. \n* Building and maintaining required Aftermarket test rigs \n* Provide technical debriefs for maintenance activities carried out for Endurance \n* Support installation activities of TRUs \n* Contribute to product launches across the UK and in europe if necessary \nQualifications & experience \n* Proven experience in maintenance repair and diagnostics for refrigerated trailers, HVAC or related systems \n* The ability to carry out mechanical and electrical field tasks \n* F-GAS category 1\n* A valid UK driver’s license (manual)\n* Brazing experience \n* A basic understanding of low voltage electrical systems \n* Good knowledge of refrigeration systems and required maintenance \n* The ability to troubleshoot unplanned Maintenance issues \n* Excellent verbal and written communication skills \n* Ability to interpret/execute written instructions as well as work collaboratively as part of a wider team across the business \n* A ‘can do’ attitude and be able to work within the timescales set through the SLA’s \n* A passion for the environment and being a force for good \n* Proven ability to prioritise and manage your time \n Job Type: Full-time \n Pay: Up to £21.00 per hour \n Benefits: \n* Additional leave \n* Company events \n* Company pension \n* Cycle to work scheme \n* Enhanced maternity leave \n* Enhanced paternity leave \n* Free parking \n* Health & wellbeing programme \n* On-site parking \n* Referral programme \n* Sick pay \n Work Location: On the road
