RolePurposeAdaptationsSurveyorTodeliverahighlyeffective,,andonbudget,,todiagnosecauses,andtospecifyremedies.Youwillalsosupportacultureofcontinuousserviceimprovement.MainResponsibilitiesAdaptationsSurveyorToadviseserviceusersandcolleaguesonschemes/theirfeasibilityandtoprepareschemedesigns.Tomanageandmonitorbothlargeandsmallscaleprojectstoensuresuccessfulcompletionanddeliveryonschedule.Todeterminetheconditionofexistingbuildingsandtoidentifyandanalysedefectswhichwillormayaffectanyproposedadaptations.TopreparedocumentsforDisabledFacilitiesGrantapplicationsasrequired.TocarryoutpreandpostworksinspectionstoensurethespecifiedworksareundertakentocontractstandardsandinaccordancewiththeOccupationalTherapistsrecommendations.ToprepareschedulesofworksspecificationsandAuto-Caddrawingsthatcanbeissuedtothecontractors.Toliaisewithourserviceusers,theirrepresentatives,statutoryauthorities,andcontractorsregardingqueriesrelatingtoworksundertakenorplanned.&S,CDM,PartyWallActlegislation.Tomaintainuptodateknowledgeofbuildingmethods,developmentsandrelatedproducts.Toactivelyparticipateinteammeetingstolookatnewwaysofworking,improvingoutcomesandbestpracticestandardstohelptothedevelopmentoftheservice.Toexerciseresponsibilitiesunderhealthandsafetyatworkactaslaiddown,orasmaybeamendedfromtimetotime,bydepartmentalprocedures.TocontinueprofessionaldevelopmentbyundertakingmandatorytrainingandothertrainingidentifiedinlinewithidentifiedneedsThispositionwillrequirethepostholdertoundergoaDBScheck(DisclosureandBarringService).Knowledge/SkillsAdaptationsSurveyorExperienceofdeliveringdisabledadaptationsprojectswithinagreedtimescalesandwithqualityoutcomes,includingeffectiveplanning,managingandmonitoringprogramsofwork.KnowledgeofthelegislativeandproceduralframeworkswithinwhichtheDisabledFacilitiesGrantsoperate.Abilitytoplananddeliverbuildingworksincludingeffectiveplanning,managingandmonitoringprogramsofworkfordisabledoccupantsGoodknowledgeofBuildingRegulations,asbestosawarenessandHealth&Safetylegislation.HavetheabilitytomonitorandinterpretKPIdataaswellasusethedatatoassessthecontractorsperformance.Havetheabilitytoco-ordinateonesownworkload,manageconflictingprioritiesinapressurisedworkenvironmenttomeetdeadlines.BeaproficientuseroftheAutoCADsoftware.Communicationskills-beabletoexplaincomplexschedulesandplanstoapplicantsinanaccessiblewayandkeeppeopleupdatedonprogress.JBRP1_UKTJ
