JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Newly or Nearly Qualified Actuary

LOCATION: London/ Hybrid

Job Purpose:

To provide actuarial input and analyses for the business’s clients and the overall Group as required

Key Responsibilities:

To provide support to the senior members of the actuarial function and make an impact on the demands of the company’s clients, managed portfolios and the wider Group across the key areas of Reserving.

The key functions of the Nearly/ Newly Qualified Actuary:

• Assist with quarterly reserving responsibilities
• Support with maintenance of the reserve platform
• Recommend and assist platform improvements
• Involvement in the IFRS17 transition and ongoing reporting
• Provide guidance and support to junior members of the actuarial function

Requirements of the Nearly/ Newly Qualified Actuary

• 3+ years non-life experience preferably
• Nearly or newly qualified actuary (FIA or equivalent)
• Strong software exposure R or Python or similar software
• Excellent written/oral communication
