Adecco is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well‑established and respected printer manufacturer based in the heart of Telford. We're offering a 12‑month secondment within a friendly, fast‑paced Finance team - perfect for an experienced Accounts Assistant looking to deepen their experience and strengthen their CV with a recognised manufacturing business.
The role
As Accounts Assistant, you'll be right at the centre of the finance function, playing a vital role in keeping processes running smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
Checking purchase invoices using automated and manual matching systems Accurately processing purchase invoices onto the accounting system Ensuring supplier invoices are paid on time and in line with agreed terms Resolving supplier queries, including statement reconciliations and new supplier set‑ups Supporting the Management Accounts team by running reports and completing basic analysisThis is a varied, hands‑on role where accuracy, organisation and clear communication really make a difference.
About you
You'll bring confidence, attention to detail and a proactive mindset to everything you do. Ideally, you'll have:
At least 2 years' experience in an accounts or finance assistant role The ability to prioritise workloads and consistently meet deadlines Strong communication skills when liaising with suppliers and internal teams Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy AAT Level 3 qualification (advantageous, but not essential)
