A highly successful manufacturing business are looking to recruit a Part-Qualified Accountant into a strong and well-established finance team. The business is a recognised market leader in Europe and continues to grow, invest, and modernise its systems and processes.
This role offers a broad and well-balanced mix of financial accounting, management accounting, and commercial exposure , making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant who is keen to progress to qualification at a good pace with the right level of support.
The Opportunity
Joining a stable and high-performing finance function, the successful candidate will gain hands-on exposure across core accounting and commercial activity, as well as involvement in a forthcoming ERP system implementation .
Key responsibilities will include: Supporting the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with the preparation of management accounts, cost analysis, and variance reporting
Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting
Working closely with operational and commercial teams to understand cost drivers and support decision-making
Supporting financial controls and elements of statutory reporting
Playing an active role in the implementation of a new ERP system, including testing, data validation, and process improvement
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes
Candidate Profile
Part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Clear appetite to progress to full qualification and build a strong all-round finance skill set
Comfortable working across both financial and management accounting responsibilities
Interested in gaining commercial exposure and understanding how finance supports the wider business
Well-organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
Strong Excel skills; interest in systems and process improvement
Experience within manufacturing or a similar environment would be advantageous, but is not essential
