Where you fit in:
You will be responsible for the Training and/or assessing of Yorkshire Water Colleagues in Technical (Water/Wastewater) and Health & Safety related courses/qualifications. You will deliver consistently good teaching, learning and assessment and motivate delegates to raise their ambitions and realise their full potential.
As our Academy Trainer/Assessor you will -
• Design, development, and delivery of Technical (Water/Wastewater) and Health & Safety training products falling into own area of expertise
• Train delegates against agreed standards of competence using a range of teaching, learning and assessment methods.
• Coaching individuals or small groups around H&S principles in line with products and Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Monitor current legislation and internal processes related to areas of the training catalogue
• Assess evidence of delegates' competence against the national standards of occupational competence within the qualification.
• Maintain accurate and verifiable delegate assessment and achievement records as required by Yorkshire Water/awarding body.
• Adopt a holistic approach to the assessment process.
• Provide feedback to delegates on the assessment decisions.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
• Experience of teaching/assessing delegates in the workplace
• Experience of delivering Technical (Water/Wastewater) and Health & Safety related teaching, learning and assessment activities including legislative health and safety requirements
• Level 3 Award in Education & Training, Ptlls, Ctlls, Dtlls, Cert Ed or equivalent or willing to gain a formal teaching qualification.
• A Full UK Driving Licence is essential as daily travel will be required to Academy sites across the Yorkshire region
