The Role – Head of Analytics Engineering

Help transform the justice system through data

We’re recruiting for a Head of Analytics Engineering at the Ministry of Justice to join our Data & Analytics Engineering Hub.

We seek a strategic, hands-on leader to scale Analytics Engineering and turn raw data into improvements across prisons, courts, probation, and more. You will collaborate with the Head of Data Engineering to deliver analytical datasets and self-service tools on our platform.

Our team has grown from a pilot to over 40 members, pioneering the profession across government. We now need a permanent Head of Analytics Engineering to continue scaling sustainably.

You will lead talented Analytics Engineers, work with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists, and shape how analytical datasets are built, governed, and used at MoJ. Details of team work can be found in our handbook.

This role aligns with the Head of Analytics Engineering role from the Government Digital and Data Framework.
